A rectifier diode lets electrical current flow in only one direction and is mainly used for power supply operation. Rectifier diodes can handle higher current flow than regular diodes and are generally used in order to change alternating current into direct current. They are designed as discrete components or as integrated circuits and are usually fabricated from silicon and characterized by a fairly large P-N-junction surface. This results in high capacitance under reverse-bias conditions. In high-voltage supplies, two rectifier diodes or more may be connected in series in order to increase the peak-inverse-voltage (PIV) rating of the combination.

 

Standard rectifiers can be found regulating the power in computers, battery chargers for rechargeable batteries, computer power supplies and vehicle batteries. Also, while rectifier diodes are often used for AC to DC conversion, diodes with rectifying characteristics are found in other uses than in electronics.

Some customer would be confused by can I use a round run capacitor in place of an oval run capacitor? The answer is positive.

The only difference between round and oval capacitors is the case. There is no electrical difference. 

As long as the replacement will fit within the space provided, the case shape is irrelevant.

In Suntan website we only show round motor running capacitors for CBB60 series from TS11-22 to TS11-26. 

But in our production line, we are able to produce oval motor running capacitors, please send us your enquiry once you need them.

The mid point for a good quality aftermarket (didn't come with your motor) run capacitor would be 3,000 to 30,000 running hours.

Suntan usually produce motor running capacitors with 10,000 running hours. If you have special request, please contact with our sales.

In highly competitive industries where every part can have a significant impact on cost, or where a motor's intended use would likely be intermittent and infrequent. 

10,000 running hours are usually be choosen for this design.

A lower grade of run capacitor may be selected with a design life of as little as 3000 hours.

Most motor running capacitor applications use a rating of 2.5-100 uf (microfarads) capacitance and voltages of 370 or 440 VAC. Usually common voltages are 370 or 450 VAC

They are also usually always 50 and 60 Hz rated. Case designs are round or oval, most commonly using either a steel or aluminum shell and cap. 

Terminations are usually ¼" push on terminals with 2-4 terminals per connection post. TS11-24 is the strongest CBB65 motor running capacitor in Suntan product line.

A motor running capacitor is used to continuously adjust current or phase shift to a motor's windings in an effort to optimise the motor's torque and efficiency performance. 

 

All running capacitors are designed for continuous duty and as a result, motor running capacitors have a much lower failure rate than motor starting capacitors.
